Class

Aikido classes allow your child to develop their physical and intellectual abilities, through movements and reflection on the approach to the discipline. Children learn to develop according to their environment and their opponent, to control their body and movements, as well as to approach life in a general sense.

Spatial awareness, mobility, stability, creativity, self-confidence and respect for others: these are all the values your child will develop over the course of the sessions, while also making new friends and staying active through a fun and physical sport. Open to both boys and girls, everyone is welcome to participate and discover a passion for a centuries-old martial art.

Each session begins with a bow, followed by showing respect to the teacher, those around them and the premises, a bow to partners, and a final bow at the end of the session, always in the spirit of respect for others.

As for the adult Aikido classes, they offer far more than a simple technical education: it is a complete discipline that engages the body, the mind and the character.

Through the repetition of techniques, falls and movements, you gradually develop a heightened awareness of your body, your balance and your space. Each session is an opportunity to work on coordination, fluidity of movement and effort management, regardless of your initial physical condition.

But Aikido is also a school of presence: learning to read the other’s intention, to remain calm under pressure, to act without haste. Qualities that naturally carry over into everyday life.

Open to all levels, beginners and experienced practitioners alike, classes adapt to each person’s pace. No competition, no judgement: simply personal progression, built on respect for your partner and the discipline itself.

Contrary to what one might think, speaking Japanese is not necessary to learn Aikido. It is a practice open to everyone, regardless of age, level or background. The Japanese technical terms are picked up naturally through practice, carried by movement before they are even understood as words.
